Prof. Alain Osta

Position: Assistant Professor, Chair of the Management Department, and Director of the Entrepreneurship Center (PULSE)

Dr. Alain Osta is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Université La Sagesse (ULS), Beirut, Lebanon, where he serves as Chair of the Management Department and Director of PULSE (Pôle de l’Université La Sagesse pour l’Entrepreneuriat). He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, with a research focus on artificial intelligence conversational agents and technology adoption in online communities.

Prior to his academic leadership roles, Dr. Osta accumulated extensive experience in higher education administration, quality management, project coordination, consultancy, and professional training. He has held positions at Université La Sagesse, Antonine University, Saint Joseph University of Beirut, BLC Bank, Paravision, UNICAF, and several international initiatives funded by the European Union. He is actively involved in the management and implementation of international projects, including Erasmus+ and Interreg NEXT MED programs, focusing on entrepreneurship, innovation, digital transformation, and capacity building.

His teaching, research, and consultancy interests encompass entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, innovation management, digital transformation, strategic management, organizational change, sustainability, and technology adoption. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications, conference papers, reports, and book chapters addressing AI, entrepreneurship education, social entrepreneurship, healthcare technologies, and organizational development. His work has been presented at international conferences and published in leading academic outlets, including Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Emerald Publishing.

Dr. Osta serves as a reviewer for international conferences and scholarly publications and is actively engaged in academic accreditation and quality assurance initiatives. He is a member of several international professional and research organizations, including the Association for Information Systems, the British Academy of Management, Catalyst Now, and Institut CEDIMES. He is also actively involved in mentoring entrepreneurs, supporting startup development, and promoting entrepreneurial education and innovation ecosystems in Lebanon and beyond.
